  • Chase Mortgage Process Review

My story differs from most of those here; I have never been late on a payment or required loan modification. As two senior citizens with guaranteed incomes and 800 FICO scores, we thought getting a mortgage through chase would be convenient since we bank with them. We are in the metro Atlanta area. My advise is to avoid chase at all costs. They gave us a closing date which they have well exceeded. They told us we were locked into a rate only to tell us just before the expected closing date that the rate would change, and I had to buy the difference at $1260.00. We got a truck and loaded... • Chase plays dirty pool

Chase filed for foreclosure against me, I sought help from the govt's mortgage programs, twice being denied, both times because Chase refused to cooperate. The second time they had the audacity to tell the mortgage counselor they would sell the house if I was denied - and then ensured I would be. I also would like to point out that between filing for foreclosure and selling the home, they never once called or emailed me to discuss the matter. Stay far, far away from Chase. The real hell of it is I didn't actually get the mortgage from them - they bought it after I got it. More...

  • Chase at its worse!

I started my modification process with chase in 2008. they finally offered me a "final" modification and now 5 years later they are telling me that I owe them $36,000 because they "forgot" to add in my impound account. I don't think its fair that I have to pay for their mistake all at once. I think they should tag some of these funds onto the pricipal amount. This 36K repesents inflated fees, late fees, attorney fees, processing fees...are you kidding me? they mess this one up!!! I'm looking for an attorney that has beaten chase at their own game! More...

  • Screwed by Chase

I was offered a loan modification and mortgage reduction by Chase 3 years ago. The letter they sent me said they put together this great new program to keep homeowners in their homes. They wanted to fix my rate at 5% and reduce my mortgage to keep my payment the same. I was never late nor did I ever miss a payment. It seemed to good to be true and it was. I am now trying to buy a new home and chase won't lend to me because there is a loan mod on my credit report. Even though my credit is 780, I have 20% down and am very well qualified. So, they came to me offering this mod for whatever... More...

  • Incompetence at it's Best!!!

Chase reported five months of later mortgage payments to the credit bureaus. I contact them in an effort to correct their mistakes and have been going in circles for 5 months. I provided them bank statements showing the payments and they advised this wasn't good enough. I was told they need access to my entire checking account which, if I'm not mistaken, is unwarranted. Kimberly Givens is the moron idiot that couldn't find her ass with two hands and a map. I can't wait to get away from Chase!!! More...

I had a mortgage from Wellsfargo during the years of higher interest rates. I worked 5 jobs, 4 of which were 24hr shifts in the fire department(144hrs/ week). My credit was 750+. I needed to lighten the work load to spend time with my family (wife and 5 children). Chase had a great sales pitch and my refinance was applied thru them. Closing date on Oct.8th was missed 2 months in to the process. Buy out numbers obtained the Oct. 11th or so. Forms sent to them 4 times prior were again being requested. Advised that mortgage payment was not needed due to the approaching closing. The... More...

  • Home Loan modification

I am a homeowner with Chase holding the note. I am a senior citizen and a realtor and mainly exist on my social security. I paid $650 to chase to apply for a home loan, learning much later from them that they do not charge - and finally I was denied because I do not make enough money. I would not have applied for a modification if I was making enough money to pay my mortgage - this seems to me to be a contradiction - if only those who make enough money can have home modifications then the rich will get richer and the poor will go into foreclosure. What is the purpose of the... More...

  • Chase Mortgage Modification

Started Mortgage Modification in August 2011. Downloaded information and sent in all of the papers they requested. As soon as they would receive my documents they would write back saying they hadn't received certain documents and requesting them again. I sent them over and over. Finally for the 5th time I sent the "hardship letter" by certified mail. They apparently couldn't handle that so they wrote back and said that my application was denied because I didn't send in the requested forms. More...

My perception is Chase operates as a multi million dollar/billion dollar financial-lending firm that assists individuals and enterprises across the world. They must be among the Fortune 500 groups. Their reputation surpassess mortgage/credit lending in the United States. They get gain revenue in many forms. I was not suprised my loan was transferred to such a large financial lender. I will be honest, the customer service is fair, depending on who answers the line and the state of J P Morgans activities. Chase is full of it...I applied for a modification and it was placed in the wrong dept. for over a year. I was denied after being hospitalized for over 6 months due to a complicated pregnancy where I was stuck in Miami, Fl. Was told because I was in Miami, I was denied because the addresss was not my primary resident. I think Chase is a criminal enterprise. Could someone please have these crooks thrown into prison for ripping off Americans. They are literally no different from white collar criminal. God is my witness. More...

  • Unknowledgeable staff and the runaround!

I have been trying to get a loan modification from Chase for 14 months when my husband moved out of the home, leaving me to pay all of the bills. My income wasn't enough to cover household bills and the mortgage, and I am facing a hardship. I had a very difficult time getting knowledgeable people to assist me, and it took me "forever" to get my file into the underwriting department. I contacted Chase several times throughout this process and spoke to different representative who would tell me different things were needed every time I called. It was really frustrating, but... • Loan Modification

I had been working with Chase for over a year on a loan modification only to find out from Chase that I did not make enough money to qualify! Isn't that why I requested a loan mod, because my income has reduced?! WOW! This is just part two of my complaint. I originally went to the Santa Ana (California) office and spoke withe a Zachary Scoggins. It seemed to go well and Mr. Scoggins seemed sympathetic and seemed to want to help. While in the office, I had left several months of ORIGINAL bank statements that I really would have preferred Mr. Scoggins to copy. He assured me that he would... More...

My son is buying a short sale property that CHASE has a second lien. First they took three times as long as the primary to approve the loan. when his lender turned out to be a flake, he scrambled to find another lender, who whipped things together like magic. Chase then demanded signing in 3 days. Not possible. He asked for and was granted a 2 week extension. Now CHASE is demanding an additional $3000 as penalty and wants to delay for ANOTHER 2 weeks. Their "MANAGEMENT" hasn't even approved it. CHASE is dragging their feet and penalizing the seller AND the buyer,... More...

  • Escrow bank complaints

I refinanced my home last October. Chase Home Finance bought my loan after settlement. I had paid my Homeowners insurance out of pocket for the year, prior to closing on my loan. Since it wasn't up for renewal until November, Chase saw that it had a renewal date in November and paid for it again. This created a shortage in my escrow account. They sent me a statement with a coupon that clearly stated on the top in bold letters "Escrow Lump Sum Payment". I sent this payment in with the coupon and instead of applying to my escrow account the used it as an extra principle... More...

My wife lost her Job in 2009 and she decided to make the biggest mistake of our lives, she applied for the Chase home modification program. She entered this program on a probationary basis. Her credit score 786, no missed or late payments ever. Chase stated to us that after 3 months of on time modified payment we would be accepted into the program. 19 months later we have been accepted twice, kicked out twice, threatened with forclosure, and asked to do a short sale. We were told we make to much money then not enough money. We were accepted by Chase then denied by Fannie Mae, and then a... More...

My modification has been going on almost 4 years now. They can never find my paper work, most of the time have no clue what I am talking about and embarass my family and myself with threats of forclosure all the time. I have given you everything you ask for timely and it is time you do something good for me timely. If you want your house back so bad go ahead but it will cost you much more than it is worth. There are many huge things here that need to be taken care of and costley. Would be smarter to keep us in here and lower our payments and let us keep the problems but if your not smart... More...

  • Over-payments bank review

Once in December 2010, Chase took two payments from my bank account. I called them they told me they couldn't put it back in there. I finally gave up and they said I wouldn't have a payment due until February. Things went ok for 1 month, then April rolls around and they take 3 mortgage payments out of my bank account. I was on the phone with them(3-way with my bank) for over an hour and a half, supposedly they are going to put the money back. That is after I threatened to sue them for stealing from my account (since they didn't have authorization to take out more than one... More...

  • Awful collections practices

Most creditors wait until you are near or over 30 days on a bill before they call you. Not Chase. 4 or five days after the payment due date, they start calling several times a day to let you know you are late and to try and collect. Even after specifically asking them NOT to call my family members or in laws. I have had 3 different experiences of them placing collection calls to my wife's parents and my father in law (who is 75) at home for some reason, my loan has nothing to do with them and they are not listed as anyone to contact on my account, I never authorized them to contact my... Chase bought my loan a ltille over a year ago. They have been horrible to deal with and very dishonest. About three months into them buying my loan I called the collections department and told them that I was having trouble making that months payment and asked for thier advise, I even offered to make the portion of my payment for the loan and not the escrow amount and that the following month I could catch up the escrow.
